Jake H. Kammersgard is an Associate Attorney at Zacks, Freedman & Chernev, PC, where he represents property owners, businesses, and individuals in real estate and related civil litigation matters. His practice draws on experience managing complex cases from inception through resolution.

Before joining the firm, Jake handled matters involving premises liability, contracts, and other complex disputes. He has extensive experience conducting and defending depositions, managing written discovery, drafting dispositive and pretrial motions, appearing at hearings, working with expert witnesses, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for mediation and trial.

Jake’s background also includes reviewing and drafting lease agreements, lease amendments, loan documents, operating agreements, and other real estate and business contracts. He has conducted legal research involving real estate, corporate, bankruptcy, and employment law and has prepared legal memoranda advising clients on litigation and transactional matters. This combination of real estate experience and litigation training informs his practical, detail-oriented approach to protecting clients’ property interests.

Jake earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where he received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, served as a teaching assistant in legal research and writing, and obtained a certificate from the Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law through its real estate program. He earned his B.S. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Texas Christian University. Jake was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2023.
